Our challenge of today was to weld back the power jack of a laptop. This is a common issue and we get 5 to 10 clients with this problem every month. The power Jack is a handicap for all PC but in order to keep the PC’s affordable this jack will still be with us for a while. Macintosh solved this problem by adding the magnetic, jack like, connection – tripping over the wire will only disconnect it, not destroy it inside like it does in the PC’s case. Our company Bimos.be SPRL did some investments and purchased the best micro welding material on the market in order to perform clean and professional welds. We have purchased 3 types of welding machinery to suit us in every situation:
Investments are not easy, especially for a small company like ours but we’re trying to make the difference here so here is our best excuse. Back to our challenge here is the cause of the problem:
The problem is not that difficult to solve but it’s really time consuming as here; we have no easy way out. We really have to disassemble the entire notebook/laptop. Take the motherboard out and try to repair or change the jack. A lot of people are scared when we mentioned repair or replace and of course they prefer to have a replaced jack in the laptop. I can totally understand that, there is “a but” though, from experience we have noticed no real difference. Replace:
Repair:
As a conclusion our crew tries to adapt with the client needs, if you really need your laptop we’ll do the impossible to get you going in the shortest time possible. Here at Bimos.be we understand that laptop repair is all about time and we’re striving to be on top of things. Welding a DC-in jack or power supply as well as other welds in ipods, iphones, blackberry, GPS systems, and hard drives is possible here at bimos.be – fast, clean and guaranteed. Nice approaching week-end to you all! |
